Cornelio Borda's designs emerge from a collaborative effort between Peru and Italy, with production based in Peru and input from specialists in both countries. This process highlights a strong dedication to sustainability, focusing on repurposing waste materials in line with non-fast fashion principles.

In the Alpaca Carpet line, the brand consciously avoids animal fur, opting instead for Alpaca wool and Pima Cotton yarn sourced from surplus clothing production in Peru. Each unique carpet is carefully handcrafted and stitched, then hand-brushed for a soft finish, suitable for use in shoes and bags. This embroidery technique began with artisans in Italy's Marche Region and has evolved through partnerships with talented female artisans in Peru, who each dedicate a day to embroider two pairs of handcrafted Alpaca shoes.
