We may have just created the craziest shoe ever!!!

Last summer I was blobbing around and I couldn't be bothered putting on shoes that had any kind of heel or needed doing up in any way - and I realised that I hadn't designed anything like this for a very long time. I ended up borrowing some horrible plastic slides that one of my daughters had picked up in an op shop - they weren't even a matching pair.

Wearing them to take the dog to do her business, I started mulling over the idea of using that base and creating  a Preston Zly version. Because if I needed a style like this, chances are that you did too. I'd kept a picture of a gold knot on a hat that I was trying to work out how to incorporate into a style - and the two seemed to be a match made in heaven.

Named after the incredible and adored honorary Australian, Miriam Margolyes, Miriam, at first glance, looks weird - everyone who’s seen them first raises an eyebrow, maybe shakes their head.  But then they see them on a foot, and boom—their opinion does a complete 180. You can see it in their body language—total shift.

Because yes, these Miriam sandals are crazy! CRAZY GOOD!!!!

Our shoes are always comfy, but Miriam? They’re next level, with a moulded insole that wraps your foot like a dream, hugging every inch.

The big leather knots that hold you snuggly into the foot bed are what really give this style its edge - and it works. Kind of Japanese, really out there and , while over the top, somehow perfect for a super minimalist wardrobe. You can rock these anywhere from the low key to the wonderfully dressy, these are resort sandals on steroids!

I can't wait to wear my own pair (even though I practically never wear flats!) - because I absolutely need Miriam in my life! How about you - do you need Miriam in your life too?
